Hi, I’m Gini.

I’m a community strategist, facilitator, and artist rooted in the Southeast. I grew up in a rural community in South Carolina and continue to support my parents on our family farm. That early relationship with land — and later, managing my own diversified organic vegetable farm in Wisconsin — shaped the way I understand resilience, community, and the natural systems that sustain us.

As a consultant, I’ve partnered with regional networks, universities, and USDA programs to build stronger local food systems. As an artist, I draw inspiration from the forests of Costa Rica, where I created over 300 botanical illustrations for a field guide to woody plants, and from the wild and cultivated landscapes that surround me at home.

Across both paths, my work begins with observation, relationship, and respect for natural patterns — in people, in communities, and in the living world. I hold a reverence for land and water that guides my approach to facilitation, collaboration, and creativity.

Let's connect

Whether managing networks or illustrating botanicals, I’m guided by curiosity, ecology, and the belief that our connections — to each other and to place — shape what’s possible.
